Amy & Elliot’s Summer Wedding

After being just friends throughout school Amy and Elliot met again a few years later at a friends BBQ and fell for each other. Elliot proposed in Central Park, in New York City at the foot of the Bethesda Fountain after a romantic horse and carriage ride.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE EAVES HALL?

We chose Eaves mainly because of its beauty but also because it was an exclusive and intimate venue where we knew we would be able to share our day with only our nearest and dearest.

DID YOU HAVE A THEME?

Our scheme was greenery and white with hessian/craft rustic detail. We went for a very classic look- the men wore black dinner suits and the bridesmaids in blush pink to compliment my dress.

WHAT DID YOU WALK DOWN THE AISLE TO?

We had a live pianist play Clare De Lune – truly amazing!

HOW WAS YOUR WEDDING BREAKFAST?

We chose Salmon, ham hock and roasted tomato soup. Roast chicken, lamb rump and ravioli. Sticky toffee pudding and raspberry mousse – we selected these dished because they were a mix of our favourites but we also felt they were good options for our guests (after all you always remember a good meal!)  We opted for the Indian selection for evening buffet which went down a treat!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENTERTAINMENT?

We used DFC for our DJ and hired the sax and percussion – they were absolutely brilliant and definitely got the party going! We also hired a selfie mirror (Easy Tiger Events) which was such a great idea the guests loved it and we got to keep a little photo book from the evening.

YOUR PHOTO’S ARE AMAZING, WHO WAS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER?

Scott and Lees. Honestly the best decision we made! They went above and beyond their roles for us both and made both us and our guests feel comfortable all day, you didn’t even notice they were around yet they managed to capture every moment! We just loved their style the moment we seen their portfolio and they are really sound guys and so professional.

HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR WEDDING COORDINATOR?

Fantastic! Could not fault a single person we dealt with from Eaves – the whole team looked after us from start to finish and helped our day run so smoothly.

DID ANYONE IN PARTICULAR BRING YOUR WEDDING TO LIFE?

At first we was considering postponing because our date was before the “freedom day” however we are so glad we didn’t because it was just like a normal wedding and everything just went to plan – it was honestly the best day of our lives and we thank the whole team at Eaves (coordinators, managers, bar staff, chef the lot) for helping us create our perfect day.

TELL US ABOUT THE LITTLE DETAILS THAT MADE YOUR DAY PERSONAL?

We loved that the venue was exclusively ours and that everything just happened in one place. It’s actually quite difficult to find an exclusive venue which can host a ceremony and the wedding breakfast but not only that, Eaves had the capacity for all guests to stay over and somewhere for the bridal party to stay the evening before, which just made it perfect from the moment we saw it!

It was literally our fairytale wedding come true!
